Product Description
Stone-coated roof tiles are a type of roofing material that combines the durability of metal with the aesthetic appeal of traditional roofing tiles. Here's a breakdown of their components and characteristics:
-
Base Material: The core of a stone-coated roof tile is usually made of steel, which provides strength and durability. This steel is often coated with an aluminum-zinc alloy to prevent rust and corrosion.
-
Stone Coating: The steel core is coated with a layer of stone chips, which are adhered to the surface using an acrylic film. These stone chips give the tiles their distinctive appearance and can come in a variety of colors and textures to mimic traditional roofing materials such as clay, slate, or wood shakes.

Benefits of stone coated roof tiles:
- Durability: Stone-coated tiles are resistant to extreme weather conditions, including high winds, heavy rain, hail, and even fire.
- Longevity: They typically have a long lifespan, often lasting 40-70 years.
- Lightweight: Compared to traditional roofing materials like concrete or clay, stone-coated metal tiles are lighter, which can reduce the structural load on a building.
- Energy Efficiency: These tiles can reflect more sunlight and heat than traditional roofing materials, helping to keep buildings cooler and reducing energy costs.
- Aesthetic Versatility: Available in a range of styles and colors, they can complement various architectural designs.
Project Show
Stone-coated roof tiles are installed similarly to other roofing materials, using a system of battens and fasteners to secure them in place. Proper installation is crucial to ensure their performance and longevity.
Production Process
Managing a stone-coated roof tile production to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality. Here are our main steps and considerations:
1. Workfloor Layout and Design
- Space Optimization: Design the layout to optimize the use of space for production processes, storage of raw materials, and finished products.
- Flow of Operations: Ensure a logical flow from raw material reception, production, coating, curing, quality control, to storage and shipping.
2. Raw Material Management
- Inventory Control: Implement an inventory management system to keep track of raw materials and finished goods.
- Quality Checks: Inspect incoming raw materials for quality assurance to prevent defects in the final product.
3. Production Processes
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain SOPs for all production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Machinery Maintenance: Regularly maintain and service machinery to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Automation: Utilize automated systems and machinery where possible to enhance efficiency and reduce human error.
4. Quality Control
- Regular Inspections: Conduct regular quality checks at different stages of production to identify and address defects early.
- Testing: Implement rigorous testing protocols for finished tiles to ensure they meet the required standards for durability, weather resistance, and aesthetics.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality checks and tests for traceability and continuous improvement.
5. Safety Management
- Training: Provide regular training for workers on safety protocols, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ensure all workers have and use the appropriate PPE.
- Emergency Preparedness: Establish and communicate emergency procedures and conduct regular drills.
6. Workforce Management
- Scheduling: Plan shifts and breaks to ensure continuous production while avoiding worker fatigue.
- Skill Development: Invest in ongoing training and skill development to keep the workforce adept at handling new technologies and processes.
- Team Coordination: Foster a collaborative environment to encourage teamwork and effective communication among staff.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Feedback Loop: Create a feedback loop to gather input from workers and supervisors for process improvements.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, defect rates, and downtime to identify areas for improvement.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in roof tile production to continuously enhance operations.
Packaging & Shipping
Packing stone-coated metal roof tiles properly is crucial to ensure they reach their destination in perfect condition. Here are our key points in working.By focusing on these key points, we ensure that stone-coated metal roof tiles are packed securely and arrive at their destination in optimal condition, minimizing the risk of damage and enhancing customer satisfaction:
1. Protection Against Damage
- Padding and Cushioning: Use adequate padding materials, such as foam or bubble wrap, to protect tiles from scratches and impact damage during transit.
- Edge Protection: Ensure edges are particularly well-protected, as they are most susceptible to chipping and breaking.
- Stacking: Avoid stacking tiles too high, as excessive weight can cause deformation or damage to the lower tiles.
2. Securing the Tiles
- Strapping: Use strong straps or bands to keep the tiles securely in place and prevent movement during shipping.
- Shrink Wrapping: Consider shrink-wrapping the entire pallet to provide additional stability and protection from dust and moisture.
3. Packaging Materials
- Durable Containers: Use sturdy, high-quality pallets or crates that can withstand the weight and protect the tiles during handling and transportation.
- Moisture Protection: Use waterproof or moisture-resistant materials to prevent water damage.
4. Labeling
- Clear Labeling: Clearly label each package with relevant information, including handling instructions, destination, and contact information.
- Fragile Markings: Mark the packages as fragile and indicate the correct orientation for handling (e.g., "This Side Up").
5. Handling Instructions
- Instruction Labels: Attach labels with handling instructions to ensure the packages are handled with care.
- Training: Ensure that all personnel involved in packing, handling, and transportation are trained in the proper procedures.
6. Palletization
- Even Distribution: Ensure tiles are evenly distributed on pallets to maintain balance and prevent tipping.
- Secure Pallets: Use pallet wraps or shrink film to secure the entire load on the pallet.
7. Environmental Considerations
- Weather Protection: If tiles are stored outdoors before shipping, ensure they are protected from adverse weather conditions.
- Temperature Control: If necessary, ensure that the storage and transportation conditions are within a suitable temperature range to prevent damage.
8. Documentation
- Packing List: Include a detailed packing list with each shipment, listing the contents and any special handling instructions.
- Inspection Records: Maintain records of inspections conducted before packing to ensure all tiles are free from defects.
9. Customer-Specific Requirements
- Customized Packaging: Accommodate any specific packaging requirements from customers, such as specific pallet sizes or additional protective measures.
- Compliance: Ensure packaging complies with any regulatory requirements or standards relevant to the destination country.
Raw Materials
All Forsetra® roof tiles are coated with natural stone chips, volcanically formed and taken from quarries in French and the most famous Chinese-brand of CG Rock only. We don't use any other fake stone chips from other factories which are cheap but lousy quality.
GALVALUME STEEL
Coating composition is 55% aluminum in weight ratio (80% surface volume ratio), 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon.
